The Fortinet Certified Trainer (FCT) assessment is a trainer evaluation process in which each candidate has to prove their training delivery skills. The FCT assessment is a two-day assessment that evaluates the FCT candidate’s ability to maintain Fortinet’s quality standards in technical knowledge, skills and instructional abilities.

Who can apply?

The FCT assessment candidate should be a Fortinet employee or a candidate sponsored by an ATC who has submitted proof of reference, along with an online application form. An FCT candidate who wants to apply for an FCT assessment must meet the following knowledge and experience eligibility requirements:

  • Extensive technical knowledge and skills in network security and cybersecurity
  • Five years of relevant experience in network security and cybersecurity
  • Certification in the required NSE training courses
  • Five years of experience in training delivery in IT security
  • Demonstrable training facilitation and delivery skills

Fortinet Certified Engineer Zero Trust Access

Description

The Fortinet Certified Engineer (FCE) in Zero Trust Access (ZTA) certification will be available for professionals starting on October 1, 2023.

The FCE in ZTA certification validates your ability to design, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Fortinet ZTA solutions. This curriculum covers ZTA infrastructures using advanced Fortinet solutions.

Who Should Attempt the FCE in ZTA Certification?

We recommend this certification for cybersecurity professionals who require the expertise needed to design, manage, support, and analyze advanced Fortinet ZTA solutions.

Program Requirements

You must successfully pass the Fortinet NSE 7–Zero Trust Access exam, which will be released soon.

You will receive a digital exam badge after you pass any version of the Fortinet NSE 7–Zero Trust Access exam. You will additionally receive a digital certification badge with the FCE in Zero Trust Access designation.

To prepare for the certification exam, we recommend that you take the associated NSE courses. The courses are optional.

Becoming a FCE in ZTA on October 1, 2023

Professionals will receive this certification on October 1, 2023 if they have passed any version of the Fortinet NSE 7–Zero Trust Access exam on or after October 1, 2021.

The expiration date of the certification received under these conditions will be two years after you passed the Fortinet NSE 7–Zero Trust Access exam.

Certification

To obtain the FCE in Zero Trust Access certification, you must pass the Fortinet NSE 7–Zero Trust Access exam. The certification will be active for two years.

Recertification
  • If your FCE in Zero Trust Access certification has expired, you must pass the Fortinet Fortinet NSE 7–Zero Trust Access exam to earn active status.
  • If your FCE in Zero Trust Access certification is still active, you can extend its expiration date to two years from the date you complete the following requirement:
    • Passing the Fortinet NSE 7–Zero Trust Access exam.
  • If your FCE in Zero Trust Access certification is still active, you can extend its expiration date to three years from the date you achieve or renew the FCX in Cybersecurity certification.
  • Passing the Fortinet NSE 7–Zero Trust Access exam recertifies your FCF, and FCA certifications if they are still active.
About NSE Certification Exams
  • Available worldwide at: Pearson VUE test centers and OnVUE
  • Scoring method: Answers must be 100% correct for credit. No partial credit is given. There are no deductions for incorrect answers.
  • Type of questions: Multiple choice and multiple select
  • Time required between attempts: 15 days
  • Transcript and certificate: Your Fortinet Training Institute transcript is updated within five business days after you pass the exam. After that, you will be able to download a printable certificate from the Fortinet Training Institute.
