The Fortinet Certified Trainer (FCT) assessment is a trainer evaluation process in which each candidate has to prove their training delivery skills. The FCT assessment is a two-day assessment that evaluates the FCT candidate’s ability to maintain Fortinet’s quality standards in technical knowledge, skills and instructional abilities.

Who can apply?

The FCT assessment candidate should be a Fortinet employee or a candidate sponsored by an ATC who has submitted proof of reference, along with an online application form. An FCT candidate who wants to apply for an FCT assessment must meet the following knowledge and experience eligibility requirements:

  • Extensive technical knowledge and skills in network security and cybersecurity
  • Five years of relevant experience in network security and cybersecurity
  • Certification in the required NSE training courses
  • Five years of experience in training delivery in IT security
  • Demonstrable training facilitation and delivery skills

NSE 5 Network Security Analyst

Description

The Network Security Analyst designation recognizes your ability to implement network security management and analytics using Fortinet security devices. 

Who Should Attempt the NSE 5 Certification

We recommend this course for network and security professionals who require the expertise to centrally manage, analyze, and report on Fortinet security devices.

Program Requirements
You must successfully pass a minimum of any two Fortinet NSE 5 certification exams:
  • Fortinet NSE 5 - FortiAnalyzer Analyst
  • Fortinet NSE 5 - FortiClient EMS
  • Fortinet NSE 5 - FortiEDR
  • Fortinet NSE 5 - FortiManager 
  • Fortinet NSE 5 - FortiSIEM

Book your NSE Certification exams at Pearson VUE

Certification
  • To obtain certification, you must pass a minimum of any two Fortinet NSE 5 exams.
  • NSE 5 certification is valid for two years from the date of completion.


Recertification

  • You can renew your NSE 5 certification by taking the current NSE 5 specialist exams at a Pearson VUE test center.
  • Obtaining NSE 7 certification automatically renews your NSE 5 certification, if your NSE 5 certification has not expired.
  • Obtaining NSE 8 certification automatically renews your NSE 5 certification, even if your NSE 5 certification has expired.
About NSE Certification Exams
  • Available worldwide at: Pearson VUE test centers and OnVUE.
  • Scoring method: Answers must be 100% correct for credit. No partial credit is given. There are no deductions for incorrect answers.
  • Type of questions: Multiple choice and multiple select
  • Time required between attempts: 15 days
  • Transcript and certificate: Your Fortinet Training Institute transcript is updated within five business days after you pass the exam. After that, you will be able to download a printable certificate from the Fortinet Training Institute.
