Certification

To obtain the FCSS in Network Security certification, you must pass the core exam and one elective exam no more than two years apart. The certification will be active for two years from the date of the second exam.

Recertification

If your FCSS in Network Security certification has expired, you must pass one core exam and one elective exam no more than two years apart to earn active status.
While your FCSS in Network Security certification is still active, you can extend the expiration date by two years from the date you complete the following requirement:

Pass the core exam and one elective exam before the FCSS Network Security expiry date.

While your FCSS in Network Security certification is still active you can extend the expiration date by three years from the date you achieve or recertify the FCX in Cybersecurity certification.
Passing any of the FCSS in Network Security exams recertifies your FCP in Network Security, FCF, and FCA certifications if they are still active.

About NSE Certification Exams

Scoring method: Answers must be 100% correct for credit. No partial credit is given. There are no deductions for incorrect answers.

Time required between attempts: 15 days
Digital badges: Your Fortinet Training Institute account is updated within five business days after you pass the exam.
Once an exam has been counted towards certification, it cannot be used again to renew the same certification.
You cannot retake an exam you have already passed.
