The Fortinet Certified Trainer (FCT) assessment is a trainer evaluation process in which each candidate has to prove their training delivery skills. The FCT assessment is a two-day assessment that evaluates the FCT candidate’s ability to maintain Fortinet’s quality standards in technical knowledge, skills and instructional abilities.

Who can apply?

The FCT assessment candidate should be a Fortinet employee or a candidate sponsored by an ATC who has submitted proof of reference, along with an online application form. An FCT candidate who wants to apply for an FCT assessment must meet the following knowledge and experience eligibility requirements:

  • Extensive technical knowledge and skills in network security and cybersecurity
  • Five years of relevant experience in network security and cybersecurity
  • Certification in the required NSE training courses
  • Five years of experience in training delivery in IT security
  • Demonstrable training facilitation and delivery skills

Fortinet Certified Professional Public Cloud Security

Description

The Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) in Public Cloud Security certification will be available for professionals starting on October 1, 2023.

The FCP in Public Cloud Security certifications validates your ability to secure cloud applications by deploying, managing, and monitoring Fortinet public cloud products. This curriculum will cover the day-to-day tasks related to Fortinet public cloud devices and VMs.

Who Should Attempt the FCP in Public Cloud Security Certification?

We recommend this certification for cybersecurity professionals who require the expertise needed to deploy, manage, and analyze Fortinet public security devices and VMs.

You will receive digital badges under the following circumstances:

  • Exam badge: Each time you pass any version of the exam included in FCP - Public Cloud Security.
  • Certification badge: Once you achieve the requirements for the FCP - Public Cloud Security certification.

Becoming a FCP in Public Cloud Security on October 1, 2023

You will receive this certification on October 1, 2023, if you have passed one core exam (any version) and one elective exam (any version) under the following conditions:

  • You hold a valid NSE 8 certification on October 1, 2023 and you completed the two FCP exams any time in the past, or
  • You hold a valid NSE 7 certification on October 1, 2023 and you completed the two FCP exams and the Fortinet NSE 7 – Public Cloud Security exam any time in the past, or
  • You completed one or both FCP exams on or after October 1, 2021, and you completed one of those exams no more than 2 years before the other exam.

Certification

To obtain the FCP in Public Cloud Security certification, you must pass one core exam and one elective exam within two years of difference. The certification will be active for two years.

Recertification
  • If your FCP in Public Cloud Security certification has expired, you must pass one core exam and one elective exam within two years of difference to earn active status.
  • If your FCP in Public Cloud Security certification is still active, you can extend its expiration date to two years from the date you complete one of the following requirements:
    • Passing one core exam and one elective exams within two years of difference.
    • Passing the core exam for the FCSS in Public Cloud Security certification.
  • If your FCP in Public Cloud Security certification is still active, you can extend its expiration date to three years from the date you achieve or renew the FCX in Cybersecurity certification.
  • Passing any of the FCP exams recertifies your FCF and FCA certifications if they are still active.

About NSE Certification Exams
  • Available worldwide at: Pearson VUE test centers and OnVUE
  • Scoring method: Answers must be 100% correct for credit. No partial credit is given. There are no deductions for incorrect answers.
  • Type of questions: Multiple choice and multiple select
  • Time required between attempts: 15 days
  • Transcript and certificate: Your Fortinet Training Institute transcript is updated within five business days after you pass the exam. After that, you will be able to download a printable certificate from the Fortinet Training Institute.
