Program Requirements

To achieve this certification, you are required to pass one core exam and one elective exam within two years.

Book your NSE Certification exam at Pearson VUE

Certification

To obtain the FCP in Network Security certification, you must pass the core exam and one elective exam no more than two years apart. The certification will be active for two years from the date of the second exam.

Recertification

If your FCP in Network Security certification has expired, recertify by completing the initial certification requirements, pass the core exam and one elective exam no more than two years apart.
While your FCP in Network Security certification is still active, you can extend the expiration date by two years from the date you complete one of the following requirements:

Pass the core exam and one elective exam before the FCP Network Security expiry date.
Pass one exam from the FCSS Network Security certification track.
Pass one exam from the FCSS Secure Access Service Edge certification track.

While your FCP in Network Security certification is still active, you can extend the expiration date by three years from the date you achieve or renew the FCX in Cybersecurity certification.
Passing any of the FCP exams recertifies your FCF and FCA certifications if they are still active.

About NSE Certification Exams

Available worldwide at: Pearson VUE test centers and OnVUE
Scoring method: Answers must be 100% correct for credit. No partial credit is given. There are no deductions for incorrect answers.
Type of questions: Single Selection and Multiple Selection Multiple Choice Questions
Time required between attempts: 15 days
Digital badges: Your Fortinet Training Institute account is updated within five business days after you pass the exam.
Once an exam has been counted towards certification, it cannot be used again to renew the same certification.
You cannot retake an exam you have already passed.
