The Fortinet Certified Engineer (FCE) in Public Cloud Security certification will be available for professionals starting on October 1, 2023.

The FCE in Public Cloud Security certification validates your ability to design, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Fortinet public cloud solutions. This curriculum covers public cloud infrastructures using advanced Fortinet solutions.

We recommend this certification for cybersecurity professionals who require the expertise needed to design, manage, support, and analyze advanced Fortinet public cloud security solutions.

Program Requirements

You must successfully pass the Fortinet NSE 7–Public Cloud Security exam.

You will receive a digital exam badge after you pass any version of the Fortinet NSE 7—Public Cloud Security exam. You will also receive a digital certification badge with the FCE in Public Cloud Security designation.

To prepare for the certification exam, we recommend that you take the associated NSE courses. The courses are optional.

Becoming a FCE in Public Cloud Security on October 1, 2023

Professionals will receive this certification on October 1, 2023 if they have passed any version of the Fortinet NSE 7 – Public Cloud Security exam on or after October 1, 2021.

To obtain the FCE in Public Cloud Security certification, you must pass the Fortinet NSE 7–Public Cloud Security exam. The certification will be active for two years.

Recertification
  • If your FCE in Public Cloud Security certification has expired, you must pass the Fortinet NSE 7–Public Cloud Security exam to earn active status.
  • If your FCE in Public Cloud Security certification is still active, you can extend its expiration date to two years from the date you complete the following requirement:
    • Passing the Fortinet NSE 7–Public Cloud Security exam.
  • If your FCE in Public Cloud Security certification is still active, you can extend its expiration date to three years from the date you achieve or renew the FCX in Cybersecurity certification.
  • Passing the Fortinet NSE 7–Public Cloud Security exam recertifies your FCP in Public Cloud Security, FCF, and FCA certifications if they are still active.

  • Scoring method: Answers must be 100% correct for credit. No partial credit is given. There are no deductions for incorrect answers.

  • Time required between attempts: 15 days
  • Transcript and certificate: Your Fortinet Training Institute transcript is updated within five business days after you pass the exam. After that, you will be able to download a printable certificate from the Fortinet Training Institute.
